Life Requires Flexibility
Beth Snyder

I have enjoyed the sermons from Acts, especially the one about being flexible. Over the last 10 years many things have happened in my life and my family's that have taught us to be flexible.

Dealing with our son's addiction has taught me many things to do and not do. He is still struggling but now I know I can leave him in God's hands and trust Him no matter the circumstances.

We had another tragedy in our family but we have prevailed and I see family members come full circle and it brings joy to my heart.

We have had a small business for 23 years and sometimes the finances are up and down. But this year we lost 3 substantial contracts in the past 6 months. It is humbling to see most of the money  gone. But We trust we will get through this as well.

So as we wait to see the where these changes will lead us we just keep trusting God.  I want to say it has not be easy and the process is very hard and painful.  These trials have enabled us to have empathy in so many areas as we meet with other people going through tough times.  If you are not flexible you will definitely be bitter and not better.
