Applying A.C.T.S

I went for a long walk from Lambertville across the bridge to New Hope.  I needed to use a restroom and asked someone where there was a public restroom.  They told me to go to the Mall. I could not locate the restroom and went into a store to ask for help.

The store owner told me there was a restroom but it required a quarter to enter and all I had was a twenty dollar bill.  I asked if he would help me with change and he did.  Then I could not find the place and I went back again for help and the man walked me to the place I could not find.

When I came out I felt compelled to go back and tell the man, "You showed me such kindness!  I want to bless you somehow." He suggested I could buy something (the store was empty of customers.) I said, "No, I really want to give you something more.  Could I pray for you somehow and ask God to bless you?"

He could not think of anything so I asked, "Do you have any health concerns?" He told me he has arthritis in his back, so I just prayed right there that Jesus would heal him.  I told him God really loves him and wants to bless him and I left.

I continued my walk but on my way home I felt excited to go back and ask him if his back was any better. Usually when I pray for healing I feel nervous and leave quickly without asking if the person is any better. He told me yes.  His back felt better.  I asked him if he could do something he could not do before without any pain.  He stretched in different directions and said yes with a smile. I asked him if he knew about Jesus and forgiveness and eternal life. He told me yes.  I assured him God really loves him and wants 100% healing for him and we parted.

The next day I was in that same mall to return an item and I went back to see the man to ask him if he was really better. He stretched and smiled and told me yes.  I asked him if he would like me to pray for more customers.  He really smiled and said, "Yes!"  So I prayed right there that Jesus would bless his business and cause people to stop in more. I told him God really loves him and cares about him, and then I left.
